what's on

It's set to be a busy year full of variety for The Leatherhead Theatre as we welcome back local groups such as Godalming and Leatherhead Operatic Societies. We celebrate the return of Mercury, the ultimate Queen tribute act and host the food demonstrations in the first ever Leatherhead Food Festival. Why not try something new with us and come along for one of the cooking demonstrations? The determination of our Repertory Company is as strong as ever, their next performance will be a reading of local playwright Amanda Lomas' play, 'In Quest of Light'. Acclaimed by critics and audiences, George Dillon brings us his fantastic staging of the Gospel of Matthew. We continue to welcome local schools such as Howard of Effingham to take to our stage with their productions as well as seeing the return of The Drama Festival which will be celebrating its ten year anniversary. The Victorian Music Hall will be returning to The Theatre this Spring. Also back for another year are Vienna Festival Ballet with their beautiful production of Sleeping Beauty and Opera Brava, who are celebrating 200 years of Verdi with Rigoletto. Our Mezz Bar has a lively season ahead with our regular Jazz Jam and Open Mic sessions, as well as Elizabeth to Elizabeth, a concert of words and music, which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation. The Leatherhead Theatre team are excited to start 2013 with a fantastic season of entertainment, we hope you are able to come and enjoy it with us!
